New premises on the historic site of Les Minimes
The time has finally come for XPO to move, a company specializing in deck equipment and representing Antal, Allen and Furler Boom in France. After more than a year of work and some time in rent, the distributor returns to 20 rue du Tourmentin in the technical area of the Minimes harbor. "It's a return to the building built by my father that we share with Navigatlantique. But with the development of XPO, we could no longer work efficiently. So we reorganized and extended the building. It took a little longer than expected because of Covid, but today we are completely at home" explains Xavier Phélipon, the founder of XPO.
The new premises, which are elevated because the technical area is subject to flooding, have been designed to limit their carbon impact, with rainwater recovery and wood-frame construction on the floors. With a surface area of almost 500 m², they offer double the storage space and comfortable, modern offices.
Develop XPO's rigging brands
With this new work tool, the company intends to give itself the means to continue its growth. "We are in a more sustainable and comfortable situation for the development of XPO. We have also set up a new ERP. Christophe Breschi who joined us is doing a great job for our new website", says the XPO manager.
On the brand portfolio side, the company intends to consolidate its mainstays such as the Antal rigging company and continue to develop its brands, including some new arrivals. "Allen is moving toward a more upscale positioning that suits us for small boats to complement Antal. Furler Boom is doing very well. We're selling one in-boom per month right now. We will also be able to work on Clamcleat fittings, which we have had since the beginning of the year and which have not been distributed directly in France for the last two years," says Xavier Phélipon, outlining XPO's current objectives.
