Bertram delivers its first Italian-built boat
The American Bertram brand, historically based in Tampa, Florida, has delivered its first Italian-built boat to its new production site next to its Baglietto parent company in Carrara. It is a Bertram 35 Flybridge, the 37th unit of this model.
Les Glénans signs with BoatOn
The Glénans sailing school has chosen to rely on BoatOn Book maintenance software to maintain its boats. The school will use the mobile and desktop solution to enable skippers and skipper supervisors to collaborate more effectively on the maintenance of its fleet of 70 sailboats.
Zparq raises funds for its electric motor
Swedish start-up Zparq, which develops electric motors for pleasure craft and professional vessels, with a 10 kW outboard and customized systems, has announced the successful completion of a 2.5 MÂeuros fundraising round, with Santander and Almi Invest Greentech.
Solidsail sets up plant in Lanester
The consortium of companies taking part in the Solidsail project, for the manufacture of ship-mast systems for merchant ships and liners, which includes Avel Robotics, CDK Technologies, Lorima, Multiplast and SMM, has announced the creation of the Solidsail Mast Factory joint venture. This will open a factory on the Rohu site in Lanester, where SMM is located, to build future masts. It is due to open in the last quarter of 2024. An initial 66 m mast has already been manufactured by the various partners.
Agreement on working hours in marinas
The Permanent Joint Negotiating and Interpreting Committee for marinas has ratified an agreement on work organization. Its main advances include :
- The possibility of annualizing working hours, with the threshold for overtime set at 41 hours
- Increased compensation for on-call duty and emergency interventions outside working hours
- Simplified counting of days worked on weekends and public holidays.
