A perfect mastery of the infusion
Since its creation in 2004, Shoreteam, founded by composite specialists, has built solid references in the field of large parts. In addition to being able to produce bridges, hulls or large-scale tooling, in infusion or injection, Shoreteam's teams support customers in their prototyping. Arnaud Lample, its manager, explains: "We work with the client and the architect on the implementation, the methods, which we master well. We can make the 1st part together and train the client's teams as needed. The production launch can be done at our place or at the customer's."
Support for series production
But Shoreteam's business is not limited to prototypes and one-off parts. Its 7-meter long by 2.5-meter wide machining center is a key investment. It has enabled the company to cut its own kits, but also to act as a subcontractor to other manufacturers. Once the kit is defined upstream for the prototype, Shoreteam cuts the material for its customers' recurring parts. Arnaud Lample adds: "Once production has started, we ensure regular delivery. This way, we accompany medium-sized construction sites without an in-house methods design office."
From services to post-production control
Since joining the Grand Large Yachting group in late 2018, Shoreteam's growth has accelerated. Relying on internal needs for composite parts for all the group's brands on the one hand, and on innovative industrial markets on the other, the business is growing in quantity and quality. With the experience acquired over 20 years, a multidisciplinary team of about fifty employees and an industrial site of nearly 5,000m², alongside the canal linking the city of Caen to the sea, the Norman industrialist continues to develop in order to deploy a global offer. Started internally, the part inspection activity is constantly growing. It includes dimensional control and ultrasonic control. An ISO 9001 certification is in progress.
For Shoreteam's CEO, this is a logical complement to manufacturing and consulting services. "We are moving towards a global offer. We are able to do quality monitoring, detect problems and take on repairs and advice for that. The goal is to cover the spectrum of composite part inspection needs."
