Genesis of So-Boat: from passion to entrepreneurship

The story of So-Boat began with a business school student, Grégory Duquesnoy, who became passionate about sailing during his studies. Owning a small regatta boat, he felt frustrated at not being able to be with him all the time. The idea then occurred to him to create a model of his boat to place on his desk, a symbolic presence to make up for this lack.

After a bit of research, he met a designer who specialized in making such models. Their discussions led to the decision to set up a company dedicated to this activity, combining creative and marketing skills. âeuros

Company development and structuring

Over the years, So-Boat has consolidated its position by structuring its production workshop. In 2018, the company developed an exclusive resin made from materials collected from shipyards, demonstrating its commitment to the environment. What's more, So-Boat uses vegetable-based inks and certified paper from sustainably managed forests, reinforcing its eco-responsible approach. âeuros
