Port de Tréboul: renovation, dredging and reopening of the harbour office in Douarnenez

âeurosThe town of Douarnenez plans to invest nearly 500âeuros¯000âeuros¯Âeuros in 2025 to improve its port infrastructures, notably at the Tréboul marina and the Port-Rhu. These works include the renovation of the cargo area and the reopening of the Port-Rhu harbor master's office.

Renovation of the Tréboul careening area

On March 27, 2025, the town council adopted a supplementary budget for the marina, including 485âeuros¯000âeuros¯â¬ for various projects. Among these, the renovation of the marina is a priority, with a budget of 190âeuros¯000âeuros¯â¬ earmarked for studies and works. âeurosThe fruit of numerous disputes during its inauguration, the marina is in urgent need of work, otherwise it will not be operational for the next season.

Dredging of the port of Tréboul postponed

Initially scheduled for the beginning of the year, dredging of the port of Tréboul has been postponed until the end of 2025. State authorities have refused to use a former disposal site for the extracted sediments, forcing the municipality to seek alternative solutions for this operation, which has been postponed for a decade.

Reopening of the Port-Rhu harbour office

A technical-administrative agent will be recruited to reopen the Port-Rhu harbor office, offering a local service to users. This agent will also help to manage busy periods and monitor access to the lock gate. âeuros
