A rendezvous for all enthusiasts

The show featured a variety of disciplines, including light sailing, windsurfing, wingsurfing, foiling and paddleboarding. Visitors from all over the UK and abroad had the opportunity to discover the latest innovations, watch interactive demonstrations and take part in live coaching sessions. This show stands out in the microcosm of European boat shows, with numerous events aimed at young sailors. Suppliers and exhibitors are all out to attract visitors, including Barton, who organizes a daily furling system assembly and disassembly competition, with a £50 prize at stake.
Renowned speakers

Highlights included Olympic athletes and sailing icons sharing their experiences and advice. Ellie Aldridge MBE gold medallist in kite foil at the Paris 2024 Games, and Dylan Fletcher MBE america's Cup and SailGP helmsmen, captivated the audience with their presentations. Technical sessions were also led by experts such as Mark Rushall on racing tactics and Michael McNamara on rigging tricks.
News and innovations
The show was an opportunity to unveil new technologies, such as the Frensi rig, designed to facilitate Laser sailing. This innovation, which has always been fitted to Sunfish boats, is designed to make the famous dinghy even more versatile.

Equipment manufacturer Barton also presented its new HB1 furler, whose low-friction ring and roller are designed to deliver optimum performance for dinghies and small sailboats.

With 171 exhibitors present, the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show continues to grow, attracting visitors from all over the world, including countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Qatar, Canada, Hong Kong, Australia and the Falkland Islands.
