A major investment to modernize the site
MB92 has embarked on an ambitious modernization program, with an investment in excess of 5 million euros. This initiative aims to reduce the site's environmental impact by adopting strict standards, improve safety and operational efficiency, and modernize infrastructure while maintaining business continuity.
A two-phase project

The first phase, scheduled from December 2024 to mid-April 2025, will involve the renovation of the buildings. This includes the creation of new 400 m² offices and workshops in line with regulations, as well as the replacement of the roof and facades to optimize insulation and energy efficiency.
The second phase, which will run from May to the end of 2025, will involve the rehabilitation of the platform. The 8,600 m² site will be reinforced to improve manoeuvring safety. A careening and rainwater treatment system designed by NOMAD'O in Marseille will be installed to ensure better environmental management. In addition, the lighting will be modernized with the installation of reduced-brightness LEDs to limit light pollution. The site will also benefit from enhanced security thanks to a video surveillance system and access control. Recharging stations for electric vehicles will be installed, and twenty onshore workstations will be equipped with power supplies, fiber-optic connections, wastewater, compressed air and drinking water.
An experienced project management team

MB92 Golfe-Juan will be headed by Philippe Escousse, a seasoned manager who oversaw operations at the 300-ton platform in La Ciotat. The current team includes 15 members from the former shipyard, guaranteeing technical expertise and an efficient transition to this new operational model.
A regional and sustainable ambition

According to Rob Papworth, CEO of MB92 La Ciotat: "The opening of MB92 Golfe-Juan represents a strategic step forward for the Group and the region's maritime sector. It emphasizes the importance of integrating environmentally-friendly infrastructures and supporting local economic development."
This initiative is also part of an overall program to modernize Port Camille Rayon, in collaboration with D-Marin, the port's manager. Corinne Reynaud, President of D-Marin France, emphasizes that this collaboration reinforces the port's attractiveness by focusing on innovation and sustainability.
