The École Nationale de Voile et des Sports Nautiques (ENVSN) offers a training course for nautical and maritime professionals wishing to become motorboat license assessors. This course, called Formation à l'Évaluation du Permis Plaisance (FEP), is a mandatory step in obtaining approval from the Affaires Maritimes. It falls within the regulatory framework defined by the decree of September 28, 2007, which governs the teaching and assessment of pleasure boat driving licenses.

A program dedicated to future appraisers

The FEP course enables participants to acquire the skills needed to assess candidates for the practical test of their boating license. It includes learning about the assessment methods used by training organizations, as well as defining test criteria. This training is a prerequisite for obtaining the attestation d'enseigner les permis plaisance, a qualification issued by the Affaires Maritimes.

Training access conditions

To qualify for this training program, candidates must meet a number of criteria. They must hold a diploma or teaching qualification that complies with the decree of September 28, 2007 and article 8 of the decree of July 21, 2011, such as the BPJEPS in nautical activities, a merchant navy certificate or a CQP IV or AMV. In addition, you need to have held a coastal option boating license for more than three years, a first aid diploma and a maritime radiotelephone operator qualification (CRR, CRO or CGO). Prior to entry into the training program, a positioning test is carried out to validate candidates' skills.

Training accessible to all

ENVSN makes it a point of honor to ensure that this training is accessible to people with disabilities. Specific support can be provided to ensure the best possible learning conditions. For all requests, we recommend that you contact the school's disability advisor.

Terms and financing

The next training session will take place from February 25 to 27, with registration closing on February 22. A number of financing options are available, including self-financing, coverage by France Travail, continuing professional training or financial support from a third-party organization (club, federation, association). Some grants are also reserved for government employees.

An opportunity for yachting professionals

By enrolling in the FEP training program at ENVSN, candidates gain a foothold in a booming sector. Becoming a training boat instructor means working in a rewarding professional environment, within a structured training network that complies with current regulations. This certification opens the door to numerous opportunities in the maritime and nautical education sector.
