Signature of a partnership agreement between FIN and UVPO for the development of nautical activities

On February 7, 2025, in Gruissan, the Fédération des Industries Nautiques (FIN) and the Union des Villes Portuaires d'Occitanie (UVPO) formalized a three-year partnership. Signed in the presence of Jean-Paul Chapeleau, President of FIN, and Serge Pallarès, President of UVPO, the agreement aims to reinforce synergies between the players in the nautical industries and marina managers in Occitanie.

Working together to anticipate tomorrow's boating challenges

The aim of this partnership is to improve understanding of the issues involved in decarbonization, innovation in the marine sector and the dismantling of end-of-life boats. It will also strengthen interactions between port managers and yachting professionals, promoting better coordination of regional initiatives.

Concrete actions for a more sustainable industry

Against a backdrop of ecological transition and changing maritime practices, the agreement provides for the pooling of resources and the development of joint initiatives. Among these, raising environmental awareness among recreational boaters is a key priority. Training programs, communication campaigns and initiatives to promote more responsible navigation will be implemented.

A commitment to a dynamic regional nautical industry

This partnership is part of the Nautical Industries and Services Occitanie industry contract, signed in 2024 by the State, the Occitanie Region and FIN as part of the Littoral 21 Plan. This global agreement aims to develop the regional nautical industry by supporting innovation, training and the ecological transition of maritime activities.

The agreement between FIN and UVPO marks an important milestone for the future of boating in Occitanie, strengthening collaboration between the various players in the sector and paving the way for new initiatives for the sustainable and harmonious development of nautical activities.
