Characteristics of Lectrotab electric flaps
Lectrotab's electric cylinders are distinguished by their reliability and robust design. Compared with hydraulic models, they are designed for precise positioning and optimum lifting force, while requiring little maintenance.
These cylinders are housed in a permanently sealed, non-metallic casing, equipped with double O-rings to prevent water ingress. A valve and ventilation system ensures balanced pressure at each retraction. What's more, these flaps connect to multifunction displays via the NMEA 2000 protocol, offering precise visualization of their position using compatible controls.
Smoother, more economical navigation
The installation of flaps transforms the handling of motorboats. This equipment improves stability and responsiveness, facilitating smoother steering and increasing safety at sea. Their effectiveness also translates into a significant reduction in fuel consumption.
Kits for every need
Lectrotab flaps are available in stainless steel or aluminum versions, depending on the boat's specific requirements.
- The stainless steel flaps, made from 304 stainless steel, offer exceptional resistance to corrosion. Available in four shovel sizes, they guarantee optimum durability.
- The aluminum flaps, made from epoxy-coated 6005-T5 alloy, are 40% lighter than their stainless steel equivalents, while retaining comparable strength. These models represent an economical solution for many types of boats, and are available in five scoop sizes.
Controls and compatibility
Lectrotab flaps are controlled by switches or joysticks equipped with LED indicators. These waterproof, UV-resistant controls provide intuitive, precise control, with automatic return to the last flap position. Compatible with the NMEA 2000 protocol, they can be used on dual stations, offering optimum flexibility of use.
A tailor-made solution
The choice of Lectrotab flaps requires a personalized study based on several criteria: hull type, motorization, engine power, boat dimensions and weight, as well as transom characteristics. This process guarantees perfect integration and maximum performance.
With this collaboration between Navicom and Lectrotab, French yachtsmen can now benefit from advanced technologies to optimize their navigations, in complete reliability and simplicity.
