From the Crimea to La Rochelle: the evolution of INTERPARUS
Founded in 2008 in the Crimea, INTERPARUS initially specialized in importing monohulls Dufour and catamarans Fountaine-Pajot for the Eastern European market. However, with Russia's annexation of Crimea and the start of the war against Ukraine, the company took a bold and courageous decision: to move its headquarters first to Kyiv in 2014, then to La Rochelle in 2019. This choice, though difficult, reflects the heroism and determination of its founders, who dared to give up everything to protect their vision and ensure a stable future for their business.
This decision went far beyond a business strategy; it was an act of bravery in the face of a tragic situation. The departure was motivated by their deep desire to continue serving their customers and collaborating with their partners in Europe. Moreover, this transition was not without sacrifice: the INTERPARUS team suffered losses among its members as a result of the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
INTERPARUS sailing school skipper Konstantin Rogozin was captured by Russian forces during a volunteer operation to evacuate civilians in Ukraine. Despite these challenges, the team distinguished itself by its unwavering commitment and professionalism, becoming a symbol of resilience for its customers and partners.
Supporting beginners: a commitment that goes beyond sales
INTERPARUS is more than just a sailboat distributor. In 2010, the company set up a sailing school that makes sailing accessible to everyone, even beginners. This initiative aims to pass on not only technical skills, but also a passion for the sea and a responsible approach to sailing.
The course includes an introduction to coastal and offshore navigation, as well as advice on the environmentally-friendly use of sailboats.
Simplify the purchasing process with customized solutions
INTERPARUS has made a name for itself with its simplified, straightforward approach to yacht purchasing. By taking care of all administrative and technical procedures, including international insurance management, boat registration and all formalities linked to the purchase or outfitting of yachts, INTERPARUS considerably reduces the burden on its customers. This all-round support helps future sailors feel confident and ready to realize their cruising plans in complete safety. What's more, each sailboat can be customized to suit the customer's preferences, whether for family cruising, long-distance expeditions or Mediterranean vacations. This flexibility illustrates INTERPARUS' commitment to turning dreams into tangible reality.
Customer relations at the heart of INTERPARUS' mission
For INTERPARUS, every customer is unique. In addition to its active presence on social networks, the company organizes exclusive events such as "rencontres de marins" in La Rochelle. These gatherings give future buyers the opportunity to discover the yachts, talk to experts and carry out their projects in a convivial atmosphere.
This personalized approach strengthens the relationship of trust between INTERPARUS and its customers, consolidating the image of a reliable and dedicated partner.
INTERPARUS social activities
INTERPARUS is an active member of the La Rochelle maritime community. The company has partnerships with all the leading companies developing their activities in the Port des Minimes.
The Ukrainian company has made several contributions in support of the Musée Maritime de La Rochelle. INTERPARUS also took part in the Trophée Michel Rouillé regatta, where they came 3rd.
INTERPARUS manager Sasha Goron is the founder of the La Rochelle-based Ukrainian association "Ukraine Atlantique", which has repeatedly taken part in social events in support of refugees from Ukraine.
In the summer of 2024, a charity was organized on the INTERPARUS sailing school base for orphans who lost their parents as a result of Russia's war in Ukraine.
Thanks to INTERPARUS' regular activities, the French economy has been benefiting from substantial financial income for the past 17 years. In recent years, for example, annual sales have been around 8 million euros. The company pays taxes on a regular basis, and also places orders with subcontractors and suppliers such as BigShip, Pochon, Plastimo, KENT Marine, UCHIMATA...
