A transition between enthusiasts
Founded in 2018 by Sébastien Pebelier, Decosail has established itself as a benchmark in the field of sail covering and painting, particularly with ocean racing teams, but also with yachtsmen. Since its beginnings, the company has grown steadily, relying on its 1,000 m² premises in Lorient, with an area dedicated to covering capable of simultaneously accommodating a Class40 and Mini 6.50.
After five years with the team, Colombine Blondet and Émilie Masselin are now taking over 100% of Decosail's shares. Sébastien Pebelier, for his part, will accompany this transition for six months before taking a break from his professional life to devote himself to a personal project.
A recovery rooted in experience
Colombine Blondet and Émilie Masselin form a complementary duo. Their partnership is based on proven experience and an in-depth understanding of customer expectations, from boat preparation to the creation of window displays for stands, as well as tailor-made services for skippers and their teams.
Their involvement in Decosail for several years has enabled them to support its development while enriching their know-how. " We've seen the company grow and evolve, and we're proud to take over its management today to continue building on these solid foundations "says Colombine Blondet.
A vision for the future
Located in the heart of Sailing Valley, the Decosail team has carried out numerous services for several Vendée Globe competitors, from hull covering to sail painting: Clarisse Cremer, Tanguy le Turquais, Conrad Colman and Yannick Bestaven have all placed their trust in them.
With 2024 sales of ?650,000 and annual growth of 15%, the two partners intend to respond favorably to a full order book.
