Highfield Boats: new production line in Michigan to support growth

RIB builder Highfield Boats invests in a new factory in Cadillac, USA. The project, supported by local partnerships, is part of the company's development strategy for the North American market.

A strategic presence on the American continent

Highfield Boats continues to expand with the opening of a new plant in Michigan. The project represents an investment of $3.1 million and will create 110 new skilled jobs, including welders, painters, engine installers and electricians.

This plant will be dedicated to the production of aluminum hulls and assembly of the range's models, strengthening Highfield's presence in the fast-growing American market.

A project supported by local and state partnerships

The development of this facility has received significant support, including a $990,000 grant from the Michigan Strategic Fund via the Michigan Business Development Program. In addition, the City of Cadillac and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) have joined forces to integrate Highfield into a disused logistics facility.

Marcus Peccia, Director of Cadillac City, emphasizes: " Cadillac is proud of its maritime heritage, and the arrival of Highfield Boats strengthens our position as a center for recreational manufacturing."

A significant economic impact for the region

With an average hourly wage of $24, $3.38 above the regional average, the positions created will also benefit from fringe benefits. This project is part of the "Making it in Michigan" economic program, which aims to attract investment and strengthen local employment.
