Nautix's NX Speed is a two-component underwater paint dedicated to glide and performance. Designed without biocide, it meets environmental challenges while increasing speed and reducing consumption. This innovation is part of the history of a Breton company that has been shaping the nautical world for over forty years.

Since its beginnings in 1980 in Guidel, Morbihan, Nautix has been recognized for its expertise in windsurfing accessories and marine paints. With NX Speed, the company has taken a new step forward with an innovative product that optimizes hull performance while limiting environmental impact.

A Breton heritage at the service of yachting

Founded in 1980, Nautix began by manufacturing aluminum and injection-molded plastic accessories for windsurfing. The company's wishbones quickly became benchmarks in the nautical world, thanks to their sturdiness and design tailored to the needs of sportsmen and women. In the 1990s, Nautix diversified into marine paints, developing high-performance antifoulings. Today, the company employs 25 people and exports 35% of its sales, testifying to its international reputation.

NX Speed: Paint for speed and efficiency

NX Speed is a two-component paint designed to maximize hull glide. The result of research carried out with the Zephir project and validated by Antoine Albeau, multiple world champion windsurfer, this paint reduces the boundary layer between the hull and the water. This improves speed and reduces fuel consumption, a crucial advantage for racers and motorboat owners.

A biocide-free product to preserve the marine environment

Unlike many traditional antifoulings, NX Speed contains no biocides. It therefore complies with the most stringent environmental regulations and is in line with Nautix's eco-responsible approach. This paint is ideal for the often-maintained hulls of regatta boats, or powerboats spending little time in the water, such as those in dry dock or on trailers.

A design adapted to all types of hulls

NX Speed paint is versatile and can be applied to different materials: aluminum, carbon or gelcoat. Nautix offers complete treatment cycles to meet the specific needs of sailors, including protection against osmosis and corrosion, as well as anti-slip paints for decks.

Research and development: a Nautix mainstay

Since its takeover in 2010 by Maxime Delbury and Matthieu Taburet, Nautix has stepped up its investment in research. In partnership with the Mer Bretagne cluster and the Université de Bretagne Sud, the company develops high-performance, sustainable products. The NX Speed illustrates this commitment, combining technical performance with respect for the environment.
