At the beginning of November, the Sextant Centrale purchasing group held its test days in Morbihan, at the Association Nautique de Quiberon. Over two days, no fewer than 78 sailing clubs were able to try out and test the equipment offered by some forty suppliers.

A mini salon for sailing clubs

Held every year over two days, the Sextant Centrale test days have become a must-attend event for sailing clubs, mainly in Brittany. Once the summer season is over, this gathering enables the various players in the sector to test and exchange ideas on new products designed for sailing schools.

Catamarans, dinghies, surfboards and even personal equipment: 48 suppliers came to present their latest products to the 78 sailing clubs that attended.

Sextant Centrale, a cooperative for sailing clubs

Sextant Centrale specializes in the group purchase of various types of equipment for resale at advantageous rates to nautical structures. In 2014, this limited liability company (SARL) evolved into a Société Coopérative d'Intérêt Collectif (SCIC). This type of cooperative is the first of its kind in France, and is attracting a great deal of interest from players in the nautical industry.

Participatory referencing

Technical commissions meet every year to select the equipment to be listed by Sextant Centrale. They work with suppliers to develop and upgrade equipment to meet the needs of watersports centers. The aim of this organization is to continuously adapt to demand, and to stay in tune with the expectations of our customers.
