A new base in Guadeloupe for charter company Alternative Sailing

The Breton charter company is expanding its activities in the West Indies by opening a new base in Point à Pitre, Guadeloupe. Complementing its existing base in the port of Le Marin, Martinique, this new stopover will give customers the opportunity to take full advantage of the vast sailing basin between the two islands.

Improving service quality in the French West Indies

To diversify its offer in the West Indies, the charter company is developing a new base in Guadeloupe, which will be operational by the end of 2024. A dozen or so boats will be positioned at this new base. Complementing the company's office in the port of Le Marin, Martinique, this new port of call will enable customers to take advantage of the tremendous sailing basin between the two islands.

Alex Lehmann, base manager in Quiberon for over two years, will join the team at the Bas-du-Fort marina to accompany customers to this new destination.

An offer tailored to customers looking for personalized rentals

Founded in 2012, Alternative Sailing boasts a fleet of sixty voluntarily different and very complete yachts: integral dinghies (including several UFOs from the ALUBAT yard), racing-type cruisers (JPK, FIRST, POGO, OFCET, RM Yachts, SOLARIS...), family cruisers (Dufour, Jeanneau...), monohulls dedicated to racing (Grand Surprise, Mach 6.5...) and catamarans.

With the opening of this new base, in addition to its headquarters in La Trinité and a branch in Martinique, the charter company hopes to win the loyalty of local customers looking for optimum quality of service, on a diverse fleet that stands out from the major yacht charter companies.
