On October 5, 2024, at the Grand Pavois in La Rochelle, Yamaha Motor France and the FFVoile announced the extension of their 10-year partnership. This event was also marked by the presence of Olympic champions Charline Picon and Sarah Steyaert, who came to share their experience and celebrate this collaboration.
A partnership for performance
Yamaha's partnership with the FFVoile goes far beyond mere financial support. For the past 10 years, the Japanese brand has been supplying outboard engines to the coaches of the French sailing teams, enabling them to supervise training sessions and accompany competitors on international regattas. For the coming period, Yamaha will continue this commitment until 2028, in anticipation of the next Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Equipment tailored to competitors' needs
To support the teams in the best possible conditions, Yamaha is providing twenty outboard engines, including fifteen 70-hp F70AETL models and five 100-hp F100XBs. These models are particularly prized for their versatility and excellent weight/performance ratio, an essential feature in training and competition sailing, where reliability and performance are essential.
Benefits for sailing clubs
In parallel with this partnership, Yamaha is offering special discounts on its outboard engines for clubs affiliated to the FFVoile. This initiative is designed to facilitate access to quality equipment for all those involved in sailing in France, with the added bonus of a maintenance service tailored to the needs of clubs, including the possibility of taking back old engines.
