Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, and Alain Pochon, President of Grand Pavois Organisation, have signed a collaboration agreement to organize the first edition of Nice Boating Tomorrow.
A new show in the port of Nice
This trade show dedicated to the boating of tomorrow will take place on Quai Infernet, in the Port of Nice, from Thursday, October 30 to Sunday, November 2, 2025. Four days will be dedicated to the boating of tomorrow at Nice Boating Tomorrow, with exhibitors on land and afloat, offering sea trials and demonstrations.
Round tables, conferences, meetings and product and innovation presentations will mark this unique event. Influential personalities from the maritime and environmental sectors will be on hand to promote the transition to responsible boating.
A "Green Touch" that hasn't yet had a dedicated boat show
At present, although there are a number of events focusing on the boating of tomorrow, there is no French or international gathering that brings together all the know-how, ideas, innovations and solutions in the field of sustainable boating.
Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and Deputy President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, expressed :
" The signing of this agreement brings Nice Boating Tomorrow to life, and reflects our desire to promote a more responsible world. This show will be a tremendous economic opportunity for our region, and will showcase local and French know-how, while linking boating and the environmental transition. "
Alain Pochon, President of Grand Pavois Organisation, added:
" Together with the city of Nice and the Nice Côte d'Azur metropolitan area, we are building a Mediterranean event dedicated to the boating of tomorrow, highlighting existing approaches and anticipating future practices. Nice Boating Tomorrow will establish itself as a major international boating event, focused on the future and the environmental transition."
A sector that needs to evolve
In France, the nautical sector plays a key role in the economy of the country's coastal regions, with 150,000 direct and indirect jobs, over 5,000 companies and world leadership in the field. If ecology and sustainable development are common communication arguments for many institutions and shipyards, let's hope that this new event will lead to concrete measures to improve our industry's carbon footprint.
