Operator of marinas and yachting harbors, the Greek D-Marin Group now operates 27 harbors worldwide, mainly on the shores of the Mediterranean, but also in the Persian Gulf. The latest concession won in early June 2024 was for the Port Camille-Rayon in Vallauris-Golfe-Juan (France - Alpes-Maritimes). This now represents a total of nearly 14,000 rings and dry docking sites for the Group.
D-Marin is being discreet about this new concession: when contacted, the company did not respond to our questions, and confined itself to issuing a press release. The same discretion applies to the municipality, which, after having indicated that it was suspending its communications to " because of the pre-contractual appeal period prior to any release of information concerning the award of the public service contract on June 18 "We didn't reply after the fact either.
The Port Camille-Rayon has 841 berths and can accommodate boats from 6 to 75 meters in length. The renewal of the concession will lead to a redevelopment of the infrastructure over the next few years.
A month earlier, in May 2024, the concession for the old port of Golfe-Juan had been awarded to the Nice-Côte d'Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a concession also coveted by D-Marin.
In the past, the Camille-Rayon port has experienced difficulties linked to the bankruptcy of the Rodriguez group. The concession had been the subject of a report by the Cour des Comptes and legal proceedings had been launched concerning the shipyard on the quay.
