MarineMax, the leading network of boat dealers in the United States, has also become one of the biggest players in the Superyacht sector over the last few years. The company recently acquired Fraser Yachts, Northrop & Johnson, Fairport Yacht Management, SuperYacht Management (SYM), and Atalanta Golden Yachts.
To build on this success, MarineMax is launching a new division, the "Superyacht Division" (SYD). This new division will consolidate back-office functions for the company's superyacht brands into a single structure. Human resources, accounting, finance, legal, marketing, video and image production, business intelligence and technology will now be all under one roof, integrating the back-office of each brand into one international organization, without altering the DNA of the well-established individual brands. This reorganization will also enhance the customer experience.
Daniel Ziriakus and Alessandra Nenci at the helm of this new Superyacht division
Daniel Ziriakus takes up the position of COO and Group Executive Vice President, while Alessandra Nenci becomes CFO and Group Executive Vice President. Prior to his role as Group COO, Daniel Ziriakus spent the last 18 years building and restructuring global yacht brokerage houses from a marketing perspective - first Fraser Yachts in 2007, then Camper & Nicholson's International in 2012. Over the past decade, he has overseen the expansion of Northrop & Johnson into the largest superyacht brokerage in the United States. During his tenure, first as COO, then as President and COO, Northrop & Johnson achieved double-digit year-on-year sales growth, while expanding its workforce to more than 230 people worldwide. Daniel has been instrumental in revitalizing the Northrop & Johnson brand.
Alessandra Nenci joined Fraser Yachts in 2013 and became CFO in 2017. With an international career in corporate finance and M&A, working in various sectors and countries, Alessandra's background and wealth of experience has been vast on both the financial and legal fronts. Her experience in the yachting industry began in 2006 with the Perini Group, then Gruppo Baglietto and continued with Heesen Yachts until she joined Fraser Yachts under the Azimut-Benetti umbrella. During her career in the yachting industry, Alessandra had the privilege of working closely with the founders and managers of major shipyards and iconic brands, developing an understanding of production processes and products. During her 11 years at Fraser, Alessandra has had a positive impact on the growth and transformation of the organization under the MarineMax umbrella.
