Frauscher shipyard invests 4Â MÂeuros to expand production facilities

Top-of-the-range powerboat specialist Frauscher announces a major investment to accelerate boat manufacturing in Austria and focus on quality and innovation.

A new production hall

On May 29, 2024, powerboat manufacturer Frauscher announced a ?4 million investment in its manufacturing plant in Ohlsdorf, Austria. Founded in 1927, Frauscher set up a modern production facility in its home town back in 2012, and now boasts one of the most modern shipyards in the world. Following the addition of a top-of-the-range paint booth in 2016, the new investment will enable the construction hall to be extended by 855 m2. This will increase the production area to almost 4,100 m2.

Electric Frauschers drive demand

The decision to launch this investment was prompted by strong demand, driven in particular, according to Frauscher, by interest in the eFantom, the 100% electric model developed in collaboration with the Porsche sports car brand . Additional space was needed to satisfy customers, while maintaining short delivery times and the ability to prepare for the future by focusing on innovation and top-of-the-range products.

General Manager Michael Frauscher concludes: "At the same time as focusing on the very best design and technology, one of our key objectives is short waiting times. That's why we're making this ?4 million investment."
