ePropulsion collaborates with Raymarine

Chinese electric motor manufacturer ePropulsion has signed an agreement with British electronics supplier Raymarine. The partners now enable boaters equipped with an ePropulsion motor to display motor, battery and range data directly on Raymarine's Axiom displays.

BRP continues to lay off workers

The BRP Group has confirmed a second wave of redundancies in its various activities, including boating. 106 employees at aluminum hull manufacturer Alumacraft in Saint Peter, Minnesota, and 298 at the Sturtevant plant in Winsconsin, home of BRP's marine business, including the Seadoo brand. The Canadian group says it is "adapting its production volume in the context of the upcoming slowdown."

Delivery of the first Ocean Voyager 40

Daycharter catamaran specialist Ocean Voyage has announced the delivery of the first unit of its new 12m model. The first Ocean Voyager 40, built in Sri Lanka, has arrived in Gran Canaria.

OXE Marine joins forces with Humphree

Diesel outboard engine manufacturer OXE Marine has sealed a partnership with Sweden's Humphree. Humphree's Ligtning Interceptor trim and stabilization systems will now be included in the OXE Marine accessories catalog, to complete the OXE Marine range.

Garmin as original equipment at Arksen

Adventure-oriented powerboat builder Arksen has selected electronics manufacturer Garmin as supplier for its new Discovery Series range of RIBs. The new boats, which range in size from 6 to 12 meters, will be equipped as original equipment with the GPSMAP 1223 chartplotter, as well as a Garmin VHF, an EmpirBus digital switching system and Fusion audio equipment.
