Restructuring announced at Princess Yachts

British high-end powerboat specialist Princess Yachts has confirmed to the local British press that it is facing difficulties. A restructuring plan, involving the departure of almost 90 employees, has been submitted to employee representatives, in response to market difficulties. The redundancies are expected to affect support functions only, and not production, which accounts for the bulk of the 3,000-strong workforce.

Riva inaugurates its La Spezia plant

The Ferretti Group has officially inaugurated its La Spezia site in Italy, dedicated to the Riva superyacht brand, in the presence of Chairman Tan Xuguang and Managing Director Alberto Galassi. Employing over 750 people, the 64,000 m2 site can launch up to 30 boats of up to 40 m in length per year. Renovation work has been carried out on the production facilities and crew reception area.

A call for projects for the transition of nautical structures

Destination Bretagne Sud Golfe du Morbihan, with the support of the Brittany Region, is launching a call for projects called "Accompagnement des structures nautiques et de loisirs de plein air dans leurs transitions". The aim is to finance sailing schools and other structures in their innovations for environmental and social transitions. Applications must be submitted by June 30, 2024.

Facom joins Orient Express Racing Team

Tool specialist Facom has announced its commitment to the French Orient Express Racing Team, which is competing in the America's Cup and a number of top-level foil racing circuits.

Yanmar supplies Linssen Yachts

Inboard engine manufacturer Yanmar Marine has announced that it has won an original equipment contract from the Linssen Yachts shipyard. It will equip the Linssen 45 SL AC 75 Edition with 2 4JH110 engines.

Aqua superPower unveils its new electric boat charging interface

At the Venice Boat Show 2024, Aqua superPower, manufacturer of fast charging stations for electric boats, will unveil AquaLink. This new interface, linked to the bollard, should enable boaters to recharge their boats even more simply than a conventional refueling, with an intelligent boat detection system limiting the number of steps for the customer.
