Scandinavian yachting equipment specialist BSI Marine Equipment Group takes stock of its industrial investment strategy for its Gori, Hundested, Jefa Steering and Ocean Marine Systems brands. 5.6 million over 4 sites.

An industrial investment strategy

Through its 7 brands, BSI, Gori, Hundested, Jefa Steering, Moonlight and Ocean Marine Systems (OMS) and OYS, BSI Marine Equipment Group is a major Scandinavian player in the yachting sector, offering rigging equipment, propellers, steering systems, deck hatches and blockers. In order to strengthen its position, the equipment manufacturer, which has operations in Denmark, the USA, the UK and France, decided at the end of 2023 to launch a ?5.6m investment plan in its industrial facilities, with the following main objectives:

  • Expand the area available for superyacht rigging production, in particular Rod standing rigging
  • Shorter delivery times to customers, thanks to increased production capacity
  • Even greater precision thanks to the use of high-performance robots and milling equipment.

A new plant for the 3rd quarter of 2024

The first fruits of this strategy have already been reaped. The Gori propeller plant has an operational robotized machine, and work on the new building at the existing Haderslev site in Denmark is well advanced, with fit-out due to start for official delivery in the third quarter of 2024.

Hundested Propeller, Jefa Steering and OMS should all benefit from the Group's investments in the coming months.
