Appointments, departures, job changes... There's been movement at Dream Yacht Sales, OC Sport Pen Duick, Sanlorenzo, Harken, Cofindustria Nautica, Vetus France.

New General Sales Manager at Dream Yacht Sales

Dream Yacht Worldwide's yacht sales division, Dream Yacht Sales & Ownership, has a new yacht sales director, Briton Jeremy Tutt. Having worked for a number of boatyards and charter operators over the past 20 years, from The Moorings to Azimut Yachts, Princess Yachts and Ancasta Yachts London, he joins Dream Yacht with a mission to strengthen the company's presence in the global yacht sales market, with an emphasis on customer service and strategic growth operations.

Changes at the helm of OC Sport

As of June 1, 2024, Joseph Bizard, until now in charge of OC Sport's sailing activities, notably organizer of the Route du Rhum, the Ultim Arkea Challenge and the Solitaire du Figaro, has been appointed Managing Director of the OC Sport Group, which also heads up events such as the Tour de France. Julie Coutts succeeds him for sailing activities, returning after helping launch the Extreme Sailing Series with OC Sport.

Ferruccio Rossi takes over as CEO of Sanlorenzo Monaco Group

Only a few weeks after leaving parent company Sanlorenzo, where he was General Manager and President of Superyachts, Ferruccio Rossi has been appointed by the Italian superyacht builder as CEO of its new subsidiary Sanlorenzo Monaco Group. The latter is in charge of the brand's commercial development in Monaco, Spain and France, with offices in Monaco, Cannes and Palma via the entities Sanlorenzo Monaco SAM, Sanlorenzo Côte d'Azur SAS, and Sanlorenzo Baleari SL.

New EMEA and Asia sales manager for Harken

After 18 years with Harken, 7 of which as Sales Director of Harken Italy, Emanuele Cecchini joins the equipment manufacturer's parent company. He takes on the role of Sales Director for Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East, in areas without a distributor owned by the Group.

Cofindustria Nautica changes president amid turmoil

The Italian boating industry association, Cofindustria Italiana, has been forced to replace its president, Saverio Cecchi, who had announced his retirement amid investigations into corruption in the Lombardy region. Piero Formenti, the man behind the Zar Formenti RIBs launched in 1979, has been appointed as his replacement. Vice-president of Cofindustria Nautica since 2015, he was president of European Boating Industry from 2015 to 2019.

Nicolas Desbordes joins Vetus France

After several years in sales positions with the Navico group and Dometic, Nicolas Desbordes joined equipment manufacturer Vetus France in May 2024 as Sales Manager.
