Special Edition / Marinefloor Europe: Optimized boat bases for a wide range of port applications

French modular pontoon manufacturer Marinefloor Europe is constantly optimizing its products, as with the latest version of its boat bases. Modular, multi-purpose solutions for harbor managers, event organizers and others, with proven practical and ecological benefits.

Ever more efficient boat bases

Marinefloor offers floating pontoon solutions on the European market for professionals and private individuals, with a wide range of uses. In addition to standard modules used to create all types of floating structures for events, works or harbor development, Marinefloor offers and develops solutions for specific uses, and in particular for out-of-water boat storage, through floating docks.

Recently redesigned, these Marinefloor boat bases feature a new geometry to facilitate boat ascent. The plunging entry ramp is now one-piece, offering greater rigidity. Using cushions instead of rollers, it guarantees good glide, with no risk of jamming and wear parts that are easy to replace if necessary. By modifying molds and the design of certain parts, maintaining R&D combined with rigorous French production, and using only high quality raw materials, Marinefloor continues to gain in precision and production efficiency.

Multiple applications

Connectable to each other and to EcoSystem cubes, they can be used to create real boat hubs, with standard bays and walkable platforms. The efficiency of Marinefloor bases has won over government departments and rescue companies such as the SNSM. Clubs and rental companies also use them to keep their lifeboats out of the water, ready to intervene.

An increasing number of private owners are also being attracted to the idea of outboard motors for their pleasure boats, which are often semi-rigid and always outboard, when they have a berth of the right size. Nicolas from Marinefloor Europe explains: "We sell all year round, both to security forces and to professionals or yachtsmen for their marinas, like at Port Camargue."

Practical and ecological

For boat owners and users, but also for the environment, the benefits are manifold.

By keeping the living works out of the water, the hull remains clean, limiting fuel consumption, with both ecological and economic benefits. Maintenance is limited, and antifouling is no longer necessary, thus avoiding pollution of the aquatic environment, while saving both time and money. When stored, the boat is better protected from collisions with other craft, and can be checked regularly.
In use, access to the boat is also easier for embarkation and disembarkation.

Requiring no special maintenance, the boat base only needs occasional scraping to remove shellfish and dirt. A simple regular visual check of fastenings and buoyancy is recommended.

The modularity? of the product, inherited from the EcoSystem cube, offers adaptation to almost all boat sizes and weights (from 4 to 11 meters and up to 6 tons), both in length and width, while remaining upgradeable in the event of a boat change.

A Swiss Army knife system for ports

With the full Marinefloor range, marina operators can do more than just keep boats out of the water. Based on standard EcoSystem cubes, they can meet a wide range of occasional or seasonal needs.

The French manufacturer regularly responds to a wide range of requests, from the installation of gangways for river crossings when a bridge is unavailable, to the creation of temporary docks to accommodate units on exceptional stopovers. For marinas, the assembly of Marinefloor modules also offers the possibility of creating additional gangways for boat shows or other development needs, such as optimizing a vacant multihull berth to accommodate smaller units on a temporary basis. Events are no exception, with the possibility of creating floating stages on all types of water, as well as sports fields for summer events, particularly in this Olympic year.

Depending on needs and volumes, Marinefloor Europe can sell or rent the equipment, and in all cases assists its customers in setting up their floating project.
