Lifting equipment adapted to boating
Alteo is a specialist in equipment for working at height and lifting. With its range of mini cranes and aerial work platforms, the company is able to support yachting professionals in their day-to-day handling operations. Daniel Morozzo, himself a yachtsman for many years, explains the many applications of his mini-cranes: "They can be used to take out or put back in an engine for mechanical work. They can also be used to mast or dismast a sailboat. Different models and capacities are available, depending on the needs of the shipyard or port."
Adapted to the shipyard environment
Traditional cranes, beyond their cost, are often quite cumbersome for a quay covered with boats undergoing maintenance or wintering. Mini-cranes, mounted on caterpillar tracks, can slide in close to the boats. They can pass between 2 parked boats, before deploying their stabilizers. Self-propelled, they can be positioned as close as possible to the boat, limiting capacity requirements.
Optimizing the use of handling equipment
Depending on requirements, the cranes can be rented or purchased by shipyards and marinas. Daniel Morozzo emphasizes the benefits of the equipment for the shipyard and its operators: "We gain in efficiency and safety. There's no need to mobilize a forklift or the crane attached to a launching gantry for masting or repowering. In the same way as hydraulic trailers, ports and shipyards need to see the possibility of freeing up their means of leaving the water, particularly during the busy spring and autumn periods."
