3rd acquisition in a year
Taking advantage of the METS Trade 2023 trade show, the Quick Group has announced its 3rd acquisition in less than a year. In mid-November, the Italian equipment manufacturer acquired Nemo Industrie, a company founded in 1969 and based in Forli, where it produces and designs a range of products to meet the needs of pleasure boat builders: doors, ladders, deck hatches, steering wheels and other cleats.
Since the arrival of the FII and Armonia SGR investment funds, Quick in September 2022, the Group has already signed the purchase of Sanguineti Chiavari in April 2023 and the Xenta electronics brand in October 2023.
Michele Marzucco, Quick's Managing Director, also indicates that another takeover is at an advanced stage of negotiation, in the service and after-sales sector.
Industrial investments
The Quick Group is also presenting major internal investments for 2023. The Maverick project, a refit of a showcase yacht presenting Quick's product range, is part of the company's drive to demonstrate the breadth of its product range. A new headquarters was also inaugurated in Fort Lauderdale for the Quick USA subsidiary.
On the industrial side, subsidiary CATT, which supplies the majority of mechanical parts in steel, aluminum and bronze, as well as molds for plastic parts, acquired 7 new CNC machines. The Sanguineti Chiavari subsidiary has also moved into its new 3,500 m2 headquarters in Casarza Ligure. It plans to triple production and double sales by 2026.
Ambitious goals
With 430 employees and over 110 distributors, Quick Group is consolidating its position. According to the Group's CEO, these new resources will enable Quick Group to develop at a rapid pace between now and 2026: "Nemo Industrie enables us to expand our production. Over the next 3 years, we expect to grow both internally through new technologies and products, and externally through new acquisitions that will broaden the Group's offering and skills. We plan to strengthen our after-sales service and develop advanced software to improve on-board systems integration. In addition, development plans for the US market will continue. All this translates into the goal of taking the group to over 100 million euros in sales."
