Meet up at boat shows
The big autumn trade show kicks off this Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in Cannes. From Port Canto to the Vieux-Port, the Cannes Yachting Festival brings together a large number of nautical professionals, followed on the Atlantic by the Grand Pavois in La Rochelle, from September 20. While this marathon is a heavy workload for all builders, charterers and equipment suppliers, it's also a time for exchanging ideas, catching up with colleagues - often former colleagues - and taking the pulse of the industry.
Talking away from the phone!
But for us journalists too, these trade shows are a key moment. While running from conference to conference can be a physical challenge, these events are also an opportunity to talk "in person", to put a face to a voice heard a thousand times over the phone. Year-round telephone exchanges are no substitute for face-to-face discussions. So don't hesitate to ask us, even if you're just walking down the aisle, when you see a Bateaux.com or Boatindustry polo shirt or jacket. What could be more natural than to gather testimonials from professionals, feedback on our articles and, above all, news about your pontoon-based businesses?
