Prototypes and production boats

The morning will be dedicated to 2 round tables on innovation, on the one hand within the framework of research and development and prototyping, and on the other hand within the framework of the production of series boats. Jérôme Heilikman, organizer of the event, explains: "The objective is to give a voice to researchers and people working on all positions to reduce the ecological footprint of boats, whether propulsion, biomaterials, energy production ... We should have representatives from Beyond the Sea or Esprit de Velox, but also the Ministry to see the legislative provisions, the layout of technical divisions and how to accept innovative projects. We will also hear them on the eco-conditionality and the possible bonus-malus. In the 2nd roundtable, we will see the industrial application and implementation, see how to remain viable and competitive within the technical and regulatory constraints."

Marinas and usage innovations

The afternoon will extend the theme beyond the boat. The 1st round table will be devoted to the marina and coastal development. The organizer specifies: "We will look at the integrated management of the coastline, with the ports, but also the elected officials of the National Association of Coastal Elected Officials and the National School of Sailing and Water Sports, to think about innovations and how to make uses evolve, and inculcate them in the younger generations."

The last time will be devoted to an opening moment, with a sociologist and representatives of the Pays de la Loire Region, to try to understand if there is really a change in the way of sailing, and in which direction. What are the possible concessions for the yachtsman facing the ecological transition?
