Atout Ports acquires EAS Seaport
The local semi-public company Atout Ports finalized the acquisition of the company EAS Seaport during the Nautic 2022. Atout Ports, created in 2019 by the department in parallel with its port management company, the Compagnie des Ports du Morbihan, aims to offer services to marinas throughout France and beyond . With EAS Seaport, it acquires one of the largest software solutions on the market, used by about 80 ports.
The takeover is effective since the beginning of 2023 and Marina Le Corguillé, director of Atout Ports, takes over the general management of EAS Seaport.
Facilitate management and interfacing for ports
The acquisition of Seaport will provide Atout Ports with technical and commercial leverage to develop the services it has already put in place. The compatibility between the equipment and the software is a key point that Marina Le Corguillé underlines: "We sell a lot of peripheral services with Seaport. This will make it easier to interface the business software with our services, which will be designed from the start for Seaport, while of course remaining open to interfacing with other software. We'll be able to provide a drawer offer for ports with the various services, with or without the software."
Connected kiosks and fluid management
Among the priorities for 2023, Atout Ports is betting on connected bollards. Its solution, which can be implemented on existing bollards, enables the management and invoicing of fluids to boaters, if desired. In the current context, the issue is essential for ports, says the director: "This responds to environmental issues such as water management in times of drought as we saw in the summer of 2022, and also in the face of soaring electricity costs, it allows us to manage the billing of the kilowatt to the boater. With Seaport, it allows you to have a customer area for that."
