B&G signs with Dufour Yachts
B&G, a Navico Group brand and specialist in electronic instruments for sailing, signed a partnership with Dufour Yachts on December 2, 2022. Through this OEM agreement, B&G will be the preferred electronics supplier for Dufour Yachts' fleet of 32- to 61-foot sailboats.
Yanmar equips Oyster Yachts
British shipyard Oyster Yachts and Japanese engine manufacturer Yanmar announced on December 8 the strengthening of their partnership. After an initial agreement for the 50-foot range, the builder has extended its original equipment contract with the equipment manufacturer for its yachts up to 60 feet, including the Oyster 565 and Oyster 595.
Interdist distributes Efoy batteries
Interdist takes over the marine distribution for France of Efoy fuel cells. This German manufacturer offers methanol fuel cells, fuel, but also lithium batteries and an intelligent charge management system. The brand's batteries are connected to the cell and ensure its automatic start. These products are alternatives to solar panels or hydrogen generators.
A distributor in France for Evoy
The specialist in high-powered electric motors, Evoy, has announced the signing of a first distribution agreement in Northern France and the Benelux countries. The Norwegian brand will be represented for the sale of its outboards by the Dutch company Green Wave.
Oceanvolt launches a fundraising campaign
The Finnish manufacturer Oceanvolt has started an online crowdfunding campaign. The company specializes in electric motors inboard targets an envelope of 800 000 Euros.
Aqua superPower structures its action in France
The British start-up specializing in charging stations for electric boats, Aqua SuperPower, has announced the creation of a subsidiary in France. Based in Marseille, the company will be one of the bases for the development of a network, particularly in the Mediterranean.
Aqua superPower has also signed an agreement with the Yacht-Club of Monaco as technical partner of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge.
Death of Navionics co-founder
Giuseppe Carnevali, CEO of Navionics for almost 30 years, has died at the age of 74. He was the co-inventor of the 1st electronic mapping tool for boating. He had founded Navionics in 1984, before the resale to Garmin in 2017.
