Safety in the spotlight at the DAME Design Award
The renowned DAME Design Award was once again given to innovative equipment designed for boaters and recreational sailors.
The overall winner is ACR and its Ocean Signal RescueME PLB3 beacon, which combines a personal PLB and GPS system with an AIS MOB beacon in a small device. It can be placed in the life jacket. It also won the safety category.
Energy and connectivity
In electronics, Raymarine is awarded for the YachtSense Link 4G and wifi router.
For systems dedicated to the shipyard and marina, the DAME Award goes to the MarineShift360 life cycle analysis software. The jury highlights the simplicity of its user interface.
Amare wins the award in the deck equipment sector for its Arya telescopic gangway, which turns into a staircase at the touch of a button, allowing it to make up for differences in level between the boat and the dock.
In clothing, the Aquafleece cape developed for water sport enthusiasts to change comfortably and warmly after their session on the water, was the jury's favorite.
Integrel is again awarded for the new version of its recharge system coupled to the propulsion engine, which the first model already had the DAME Award in 2018.
Finally, the Essential battery from Aceleron is awarded for its contribution to the environment with its design allowing easy maintenance and good reparability.
No winner was chosen in the interior design category.
