Williams Jet Tender opens an R&D center

Waterjet-powered dinghy specialist Williams Jet Tender has announced the opening of its new research and development center in May 2022. The 450 square meter buildings represented a £450,000 investment for the British company based in Wallingford, UK, which employs 140 people. It includes a test tank for units up to 7 meters and a photo studio for custom boats, as well as research equipment in composite and steel construction. The opening comes a year after the company invested £1 million in the production facility.

VDM Reya produces its own renewable energy

VDM Reya, a distributor of nautical equipment, has commissioned 1494 photovoltaic panels with a total power of 638 kWp on the roof of its premises in Toulon La Garde. Connected to the Electricity Transport Network, this production covers the average consumption of the company and 150 households.

The Elan E6 awarded

The Slovenian shipyard Elan Yachts has won 2 awards for its new yacht Elan E6. They are the Red Dot Design Award and the International Yacht and Aviation Award.

Cheetah Marine and RS Electric Boats join forces for electric catamarans

The two British companies Cheetah Marine and RS Electric Boats have announced a partnership for the development of new electric multihulls together, the first model of which will be presented at Boot Düsseldorf 2023.
