Tenderlift : The hydraulic platform specialist doubles its production tool

The equipment manufacturer Tenderlift is investing in its hydraulic equipment production unit for boats. The extension of its factory must accompany the increase of the nautical market and the ambitions of growth of the company, explains Benoît Chatillon.

A new factory for Tenderlift

Specialized in hydraulics for pleasure boats and particularly the rear platforms of multihulls, the company Tenderlift has inaugurated the extension of its factory in Canet-en-Roussillon. The new building, with a surface area of 700 m², almost doubles the factory's surface area to 1,500 m². "This is an important investment, where we pay particular attention to the safety and health at work of our employees. The extension is already operational and significantly increases our production capacity", says Benoît Chatillon, Tenderlift's manager.

Sustained growth for the hydraulic equipment manufacturer

Benoît Chatillon, who took over the company in December 2020 with his wife, is delighted with the company's sales growth, driven by the success of its hydraulic rear platforms. "Since the takeover in 2020, we have a reasoned development project, but resolutely industrial, by strengthening the technical solutions for hydraulic platforms and keeping the possibilities of customization. There were 17 of us at the time of the takeover and we are now 30 people working at Tenderlift. We have doubled the number of welders and strengthened our prototyping capacities. The launches of our developments in 2021 have been very successful and it was necessary to increase the production capacities" explains the manager.

Staying agile in a changing environment

Like all companies, Tenderlift, faces supply challenges, but it relies on its flexibility and responsiveness to meet a dynamic marine market. "We make complex products with a lot of components. The cost of metal and electronic components is rising. This forces us to be smart to solve problems of potential supply shortages. Our vision is to be a company that is as responsive to customers as possible, while remaining independent and autonomous. We are responding to a problem in a catamaran segment that is growing" concludes Benoît Chatillon.
