Kaeonit offers a solution of sensors and alerts to be installed on pleasure boats (motion detector, intrusion detector, etc.) in order to detect anomalies and warn the boater. With the Optidock gateway beacon, the company is extending its service to marina managers.
Port location management
To operate, this beacon will require that the boat is equipped with at least one of the peripherals of the Kaeonit range ( Shock, intrusion or motion detector ). Using Bluetooth LTE ( low energy consumption ), Optidock will indicate to the marina manager the presence or not of a boat in its detection perimeter.
Used to monitor boats and to alert the owner in case of unexpected departure, the bridge beacon is above all thought to offer marina managers more flexibility and knowledge in the fleet of boats currently in place. Depending on the agreements made with their customers, a vacant spot can be re-rented for example.
Small footprint and autonomy
To operate, it is necessary to install two radio antennas (redundant for communications via the LORA network) and one beacon for every 6 boats.
These beacons are solar powered and self contained. The only connectivity is this one for the antennas.
API for integration with location management systems
When a boat is seen by the beacon that has custody of it, it will immediately tell the Kaeonit servers that the boat is present. These servers will, in turn, send a message to the API of the management solution provider ( alizee soft, sea porteos ) to let him know. This same mechanism will be triggered when a boat leaves its mooring. The beacon, no longer able to communicate with it, will indicate its exit.
Beacon can be set remotely
The descending links to the optidock allow the software maintenance of the beacon but also to declare the surveillance of a boat by a given beacon. Thus, in case of failure of one of them, only the boats under the responsibility of the equipment will be impacted.
How much does a port cost?
In addition to the invoicing of the communication antennas and the installation of the equipment, the Optidock beacons are invoiced per unit, with one beacon for 3 to 6 boats as a calculation basis. Indeed, Bluetooth LTE is limited in distance and, depending on the layout of the locations ( dock, catwayeuros ), the range can be increased or decreased.
