Electronic products from the aviation industry
The LXNav company was founded in 2010. It has been developing flight instruments for light aircraft and gliders ever since. Based in Slovenia, the aeronautical company decided in 2017 to diversify. Building on its success in the glider sector, where it equips 90% of aircraft, it began its entry into the boating and recreational sector. "We have integrated the high standard of aviation towards marine electronics" explains Franck Blanchard, in charge of developing the brand on the French-speaking market.
Simple screens for the cartography and the sensors of the boat
LXNav developers have designed a complete range of screens from 3.5 inches to 9 inches. They provide both the display of mapping systems, in OpenSeaMap basic, or Navionics in option, but also the display of basic data of the boat (sounder, speed, engine data, tanks, etc. ...)
They also developed the analog to digital converters, operating under the NMEA2000 standard, but also a GPS tracking box and a whole set of cabling.
"The principle of our products is simplicity of use. Compatible with all types of boats, they are particularly well suited to electric boats. They are often installed as an additional 2nd screen on existing boats, as a simple screen to visualize the parameters" indicates Franck Blanchard.
Attracting French boat builders
After 5 years of existence, the equipment manufacturer already has some nice references. Its marine electronics can already be found on board Greenline Hybrid boats and custom converter solutions have been developed with Vetus.
Present mainly in Slovenia and Croatia, but also in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, LXNav wants to expand its commercial scope. "We want to develop the French-speaking market, with networks for aftermarket sales, but also with shipyards to be present in OEM contracts" concludes Franck Blanchard who joined the company with this mission.
