A family history
Based in Sausset les Pins, in the Bouches du Rhône, Casse Marine Enlèvement is a family business. It is today managed by the 3 e generation, represented by Florent Cassegrain.
"My grandfather already worked in this field in the nearby port of Carro. Then my father took over, and now it's my turn" comments Florent. "When I arrived, based on a great family experience, we modernized our sales process, developing our online store. Everything is visible on our website, and we deliver within 24-48 hours. We owe it to ourselves to be very responsive, and we respond to all requests for parts."
Because you can find everything at Casse Marine Enlèvement: outboard engine, inboard, spare parts, motorboats and sailboats, deck fittings and at prices defying all competition.
A deconstruction industry with a promising future
Casse Marine Enlèvement recovers everything that is supposed to be dismantled, to put them back on the second-hand market. In partnership with APER, Casse Marine Enlèvement accompanies owners who wish to get rid of their boat:
"We have many requests, in France and even in Europe. We are contacted by people who want to get rid of their boat, customers in a hurry, to avoid an auction, or for more personal reasons. We establish offers after studying each file: either a paying deconstruction, or a purchase offer.
Our goal is both to recover as many spare parts as possible, and to ensure that the hulls are recycled in appropriate channels."
A company combining upcycling and mechanical advice
Here, we are far from the ancestral image that one might imagine of a conventional junkyard. In the huge logistic warehouse, everything is arranged, sorted and numbered.
"Our customers are primarily looking for a price, but others are also looking for parts that are no longer available on the new market. We are very competitive, since we can sometimes offer parts in very good condition with a discount of 60% compared to the new price. Our status of professional of the nautical industry brings a real added value to the customer, who is reassured in his act of purchase. In addition, we also share our extensive experience in terms of marine mechanics to advise our customers."
All this while participating in a meaningful process. The Casse Marine Enlèvement team has treated about forty hulls over the past year, thus freeing up port or quay spaces. Sales are not limited to spare parts. Sometimes it is also a question of entire hulls that are restored to return to sailing. Or, to take part in other projects such as the creation of an unusual lodging, in which several hulls are used as lodgings and continue to delight their "crew members".
