Extension of CDK Technologies in Port-la-Forêt
The shipyard CDK Technologies inaugurated on Thursday, January 20, 2022 new buildings on its site of Port-la-Forêt. This extension of 175 m² on two floors includes several spaces: a rest room, a meeting room, changing rooms, toilets and offices. Work began in the spring of 2021 and was completed this winter. The building now houses the 50 employees of the company working at the Finistère site, which builds composite parts for ocean racing and the maritime industry.
Improve working conditions
Founded in 1984 by Hubert Desjoyeaux and managed for more than 25 years by Philippe Facque, CDK Technologies employs more than 100 people for a turnover of 10 Meuros. The company, born in Port-la-Forêt, has followed the strong development of ocean racing in Lorient by setting up a second site in the Morbihan port. The latter has received very strong investments in equipment and facilities in recent years. Now the historic site and its employees are benefiting from a healthy order book, with three new IMOCA boats under construction.
"In recent years, we have developed our tools enormously by acquiring new means of production such as a cutting machine for prepreg fabrics, a machining machine, but also and above all one of the largest autoclaves in Europe. In view of the company's development and in order to be able to ensure new markets, it was also important to make a major investment in terms of infrastructure for the comfort and well-being of our employees based in Port-la-Forêt. A pleasant working environment, whether it be at the workstation itself, in the relaxation and conviviality areas or simply the general atmosphere, is, for us, essential because it is a guarantee of motivation and efficiency underlines Philippe Facque.
