Niels Jeppesen at Arcona
Naval architect Niels Jieppesen, known for his many years of collaboration with yacht builder X Yachts, has joined Swedish shipyard Arcona Yachts. In addition to working on the design of the brand's future boats with his firm, he joins the Scandinavian yard's management.
Kent strengthens its electronics team
After taking over the distribution in France of the Navico group's electronics brands (Lowrance, Simrad, B&G and C-Map) in January 2021, Kent Marine Equipment continues to strengthen its teams to develop in marine electronics. It has just recruited Cédric Vermandé, as an electronics sales representative for the North East quarter. Formerly employed by PAFEX, Svendsen and Powerline, he is in charge of developing two strategic segments: inland waterways and inland navigation.
Sparcraft is recruiting for its US subsidiary
Sparcraft America, the Wichard Group's US rigging subsidiary, has announced three new hires. Jacques Swart, formerly with Hall Spars, will support Sparcraft's U.S. sales efforts. Doug Green is joining the technical support team, while Erik Baktis is joining the engineering team.
Multiplast hires 3 people in the design office
The Vannes-based boatbuilder Multiplast has strengthened its design office, as several series and medium-sized boat constructions are coming up (Class 40, Class 30euros). Maeg Lehoux, formerly an engineer with ICNN and then Gsea Design, has joined the design office as a project manager. Elmis Yacin, who worked for Multiplast before joining Airbus, joins the team as a design office technician. Philippe Roulin, independent naval architect and technical director of Heol Composites until October 2021, becomes project manager for Multiplast?
Vianney Guezenec joins Riviera Plaisance
After 11 years with the Bénéteau Group, mainly in the Asia-Pacific region, where he was director until November 2021, Vianney Guezenec is joining the Euro-Voiles Riviera Plaisance Group. He will be deputy director of Riviera Plaisance, a distributor of top-of-the-range brands on the French Riviera.
