A range of 4 professional boats
The manufacturer Whaly is developing a wide range of rotomolded polyethylene boats. Among these, 4 models are particularly designed for professional use, especially in marinas, thanks to their compliance with Division 222 for cargo vessels. These are the Whaly 400 R Pro, 435 R Pro, 455 R Pro and 500 R Pro, with outboard motors from 20 to 80 horsepower. With high load capacities for their size, they have already won over many port managers in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean.
A robust and recyclable material
Constructed of recycled PET, Whaly boats combine sturdiness with environmental benefits. "They are made of recycled material and can be recycled over and over again. The material makes them robust, even indestructible, while requiring very little maintenance. No need for antifouling, just a shot of water from time to time. As for the fender, it's more to protect the other boat than the Whaly," says Stéphane Guillo, the brand's importer in France.
From a logistical point of view, their storage is simplified by the possibility of stacking them.
Customization for port use
Whaly boats have many features adapted to harbor work. The Whaly 455 and Whaly 500 are offered with a ramp on the bow. "It is wide enough to allow access for a person with reduced mobility in a sports wheelchair and of course to transship equipment. It can be positioned at the same height as the skirt of another boat or a pontoon," says the importer.
The customer can also choose from a variety of deck equipment, such as a lifting jib or a roll bar. Removable lockers can be installed in a modular way to adapt to the working configurations of the port agents.
Visually, the boat is also customizable. The hulls are available in 14 colors. It is possible to add the logo of the marina.
Affordable and available boats
With the professional discounts granted by Whaly France, the Whaly is, in terms of price, hyper competitive in its segment. Given their longevity, they can be amortized over long periods of time. This allows marinas to reduce their boat budgets as much as possible
In a complex supply context, the importer emphasizes the availability of its boats. "We will have 1,000 boats available in France in 2022, with a lead time of 6 to 8 weeks. We have a network of 40 distributors throughout the country," he concludes.
