METS Trade : The nautical equipment trade show maintained despite the health context

METS Trade 2021 will be held

METS Trade show organizers have confirmed that the 2021 edition of the yachting equipment show will be held, despite measures imposed by the Dutch government in response to the Covid-19 outbreak. Special arrangements have been made for exhibitors and visitors.

The 2021 edition of METS Trade will be maintained

After a period of uncertainty while waiting for the Dutch head of government's speech on November 12, 2021 announcing his measures to contain the resurgence of the Covid-19 epidemic in the Netherlands, the boating industry has been reassured that METS Trade will be held in Amsterdam. The partial curfew and restrictions on public events do not prevent the holding of trade shows. RAI Amsterdam, organizer of the world's leading yachting equipment show, has confirmed that METS Trade 2021 will open on November 16-18.

A protocol to limit the risks of contamination

To reassure the professionals of the nautical industry going to the event, the METS Trade recalled the measures already put in place to avoid contamination, while adding some additional recommendations. A "sanitary bubble" has been set up with the partner hotels indicates the RAI and the sanitary protocol applied in the exhibition areas is shared with the surrounding restaurants. Recommended access times for visitors on the opening day should make it possible to spread out arrivals and limit queues and groupings at the exhibition entrance. Although it is not mandatory, wearing a mask is strongly recommended in the METS Trade aisles.

Beyond protocol, the remaining question is the reaction of visitors and exhibitors and the effects on the attendance of this edition of METS Trade.
