Big change at Botalo in this fall 2021. This French manufacturer of shoes and boots, specialized in nautical products, has joined the Treesco group. From now on, Botalo integrates the brands of the group.
Treesco, a big player in hunting
Treesco has specialized in outdoor activities for 20 years. It is a manufacturer that studies, designs, makes and distributes through its network of distributors. Its genetic code is the nature on earth turned to hiking and hunting. It is the European leader in hunting clothing with three main brands: Percussion, Ligne Verney-Carron and Club Interchasse. Treesco covers the entry, middle and top ranges. It specializes in textiles with clothing, footwear and accessories. Present in 20 European countries, this group currently has a turnover of approximately 20 million euros.
Getting a foot in the water with Botalo
With Botalo, the group opens up " a window on the sea ". Xavier Marchand, head of sales, marketing and communication at Treesco, explains the reasons for this merger: " With Botalo we have found an opportunity to open up to the nautical industry. It is a diversification for us, even if our products are quite similar and we will be able to share our skills. We appreciate the Botalo brand, its history and the image of recognized quality that it conveys. We will build on this and develop new products. The first visible step will be a range of rubber boots that will be aimed at professionals and boaters as well as seaside users. Then, the future will undoubtedly lead us to imagine bags and textile products. "
Although the final signature was made at the beginning of November 2021, the strategic choices are already defined. The establishment of the company in Libourne, the French design and the manufacturing in Portugal are still relevant. Thus, Botalo lovers will continue to find the same quality in their shoes.
