Consolidation of marinas in Calvados
The Normandy department of Calvados has voted for a project to pool resources around its seven fishing and yachting harbors, which are Isigny-sur-Mer, Grandcamp-Maisy, Port-en-Bessin Huppain, Courseulles-sur-Mer, Dives-Cabourg-Houlgate, Deauville-Trouville and Honfleur. A semi-public company with a single operation (Semop), associating the department and the Banque des Territoires with a private operator should be created by 2023. The operator should hold 51% of the future structure, which will be called Ports du Calvados.
Volvo Car continues with the Nautic
Car manufacturer Volvo Car and its branch Volvo Car France are once again the exclusive automotive partner of the Nautic de Paris. The boat show and the Swedish car brand have been partners since 2018.
Black Pepper launches its first electric sailboat
Black Pepper Yachts has launched its first 100% electrically powered boat. It is an adaptation of its Code 0 dayboat, designed in partnership with the Nantes-based company Seco Marine, in charge of the electrification of the model.
Bénéteau signs with engine manufacturer Man
The Bénéteau boat builder has signed its first original equipment contract with the engine manufacturer Man. The German company will supply the marine engines, 2 x730 HP type MAN i6-730 for the Grand Trawler 62 of the Vendée shipyard, joining the list of suppliers alongside other major engine manufacturers.
Orangemarine is moving
Orangemarine, the online sales site for leisure equipment, is moving to new premises. Taken over by Nocika in February 2020, it will move into its new 7,000 m² premises in mid-November 2021.
