The Beboat shipyard is looking for a buyer
Founded in 2014, the Beboat shipyard had built a nice reputation with some nice neo-classical style sailboats. Unfortunately, the sudden death of its founder, Erwan Boisecq, on June 8, 2019, had put an end to the activity suddenly. After a year of waiting related to succession issues, the sale process had been initiated in 2020. "Unfortunately, discussions had been well underway with an existing yard, but which finally failed us after a long process. That is why I am re-launching that the yard is still for sale, and not because of a lack of interest. I am therefore relaunching the process, to assist the widow of Erwan who was a friend" explains Igor Moinet.
All the elements to relaunch a shipyard in the Gulf of Morbihan
To build his sailboats, the founder of the shipyard had acquired a beautiful work tool, in Arradon, in a favourable area on the edge of the Gulf of Morbihan for his niche of neo-classical boats. "There aren't many boatyards like this one that make isolated boats with the right cranes. So we want to talk about it so that people know about it and that boats are still being built there," confirms Igor Moinet. The buildings, with a surface area of 350 m², are available for rent.
In parallel, the assets put up for sale are the following:
- the complete boat BE 6.4 ready to sail, if it is not sold separately before the transfer of the company
- the already built components of BE 6.0 number 2
- bE 6.4 and BE 6.0 molds
- all machines and tools
- consumables
- plans and documents necessary for the realization of the units already built (excluding architectural intellectual property)
- the name "BE BOAT", its website and access to the associated social networks.
While the yachting market shows its dynamism, let's hope that the Be Boat shipyard finds an entrepreneur to take up the torch and relaunch a line of promising yachts.
