Pro et Mer : A job fair for a maritime industry in search of new staff

Aisles of the Pro&Mer exhibition

The Pro&Mer exhibition dedicated to employment in the maritime sector will be held in Lorient on October 14, 2021. Organized by Bretagne Pôle Naval, it aims to facilitate the recruitment of employees for the maritime industries, including boating, and to create vocations for training in the sector.

8th edition of the Pro&Mer exhibition

2021 will be the 8th edition of the Pro&Mer exhibition. The event, which is presented as an employment and training fair for the maritime professions, is a permanent fixture in the industry's calendar. Scheduled for October 14, 2021, it will bring together companies in the sector at the Palais des Congrès in Lorient, alongside training centers and institutions. The range of fields represented is wide, from civil naval to military naval, including boating and marine renewable energy.

An expanding maritime employment market

For the 221 edition, the organizer, Bretagne Pole Naval, announces the presence of more than 100 exhibitors. More than 3,500 job and training offers are expected at the Pro&Mer exhibition. The offer is to be put in relation to the recruitment difficulties that the heads of companies in the sector regularly echo in our columns, especially in a context of explosion of demand in the nautical industry.

The actors of the nautical industry present

Born from the shipbuilding and ship repair industry, the event has opened up to the whole maritime sector over the years. Visitors will be able to find players in the yachting and ocean racing sectors, both in construction and training, as well as equipment manufacturers, such as Bretagne Emploi Nautisme, CDK, INB, AFPA, Atliers de l'Enfer, SEIMI and France Hélices.

Workshops and round tables are also offered to discover the different professions.
