Launch of a new range of dayboats
After a prolific year in 2020 for the Jeanneau shipyard, the French manufacturer continues to develop in the powerboat sector. In particular, it is expanding into large outboard motorboats, as Fjord and Pardo Yachts have done before. Thus, the DB - Day Boat range - heritage of the models of the same name produced in the 80's - joins the Leader and NC motorboat ranges.
The first model, the DB/43, is a 43-foot boat with a very open dayboat deck plan and an interior inspired by the Express Cruiser. Jeanneau's objective is to complete its range with a "premium offer to enter the luxury dayboat market."
Garroni's design features a large, rigid hardtop in line with the reverse windshield, a well-defended foredeck with an imposing railing, tilting bulwarks to increase the cockpit area, and a long hull window to light the cabin. This model will be available in both inboard and outboard versions.
We'll have to wait until the end of the year to find out more about this new model, which will premiere in Düsseldorf in 2022.
Integrate a mature market
"Jeanneau is not an explorer of new niches. We wait until a market is mature to integrate it. And this is now the case with this type of dayboat. We won't copy what's on the market, looking to bring something new. Maybe a family touch." concludes Paul Blanc, General Manager of Jeanneau.
