Opening of the French subsidiary of Navigare Yachting
Among the major players in the international yacht charter market, Navigare Yachting was the exception in not being established in France. It is now making up for this with the opening of a French subsidiary in 2021, headed by Clément Daël, who previously worked for Moorings and Dream Yacht Charter. "My partner and I, who are in charge of marketing, had a project to launch a multi-brand yacht management and charter company. During our discussions, Navigare Yachting initially proposed that we become an exclusive franchisee, but the arrival of the PPF fund and the Bénéteau group in the capital led us to reconsider things and to integrate us directly, which is all the better and more efficient," says the new director of Navigare Yachting's French subsidiary.
Ambitious objectives in France and internationally
The establishment in France is part of an ambitious program, both locally and internationally. The company, created in 2001 in Scandinavia, already has strong bases and wants to accelerate its development. "The desire for growth is important. Today we have 350 boats and 11 bases. The ambition is to reach 700 boats, while maintaining an optimal quality. Navigare Yachting is the leader in Scandinavia, very well established in the United States, but surprisingly had not succeeded in establishing itself in France. Our goal today is to become one of the leaders in France," says Clément Daël.
A new base opened in the Seychelles this late summer of 2021. Discussions are underway for other boat rental sites in the Caribbean arc.
Boat rental and management as a priority
For its launch on the French market, Navigare Yachting is concentrating on the boat management-rental activity. "In a second phase, we will develop the pure rental aspect, which already exists a little through our agents. By the end of 2021, we should have one person dedicated to this on a full-time basis, while maintaining the emphasis on high quality service" concludes the director of Navigare Yachting France.
