Accastillage Diffusion acquires 12 Seemeilen
The Alliance Marine group, a French heavyweight in the distribution of boating equipment to professionals and individuals, is pursuing its international growth strategy. Its subsidiary Intermer, the hub behind the Accastillage Diffusion brand, has announced the acquisition of the German company 12 Seemeilen. The Cologne-based company is one of the main players in sales to boaters in Germany, through its rapidly expanding website. The company, founded in 2013, claims 5,000 references in its product range. It employs 20 people.
Getting a foothold in German boating
Through this operation, Intermer will be able to develop its activity on the German yachting market. Mainly established until now in the south of Europe, in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal, the subsidiary of Alliance Marine, widens its international implantation. Our good results for 2020 confirm that the timing is perfect for Accastillage Diffusion to turn to the German market and take a significant share," says Michaël Amoros, Intermer's operational director.
Exchange of digital skills and catalogs
Accastillage Diffusion should benefit from 12 Seemeilen's experience in selling equipment online directly to boaters. "This merger with 12 Seemeilen will allow us to deploy our vision even faster: to deliver innovative and efficient digital solutions to European boaters, by capitalizing on the unique expertise of our German partners, a talented, young and already very experienced team in B2C, which relies on a very end-customer oriented organization" explains Michaël Amoros.
12 Seemeilen will be able to expand its range of materials with the 20,000 items in the Intermer central warehouse.
