Hanse Yachts creates the Ryck motorboats
Historically from the sailboat sector with its historic Hanse brand, complemented by Dehler, Moody and the Privilege catamarans, the German Hanse Yachts group is strengthening its positions in the motorboat sector. It announced in August 2021 the creation of its 3rd powerboat brand, Ryck, to complement the Sealine and Fjord ranges. The new name is inspired by the Ryck River, which links the German factory in Greifswald where the boats will be built with the Baltic Sea.
Sport boats made in Germany
The first images of the Ryck 280, the inaugural model of the range, confirm the positioning of the sporty weekender announced by the manufacturer. With enough room for a short getaway at sea, the Rycks complement the more luxurious Fjord offer and the larger and more livable Sealine boats. The lines of the Ryck 280 are reminiscent of the successful Axopar range.
Hanse Yachts also insists, even in the choice of the range name, in the claim of a Made In Germany construction. "The first waterway on which our new Ryck Yachts will sail is the river Ryck itself. Through it, our boats do not only reach the Baltic Sea, they are distributed all over the world. The choice of this name comes full circle for us, but also represents a declaration of Hanse Yachts' loyalty to this region," explains Jens Gerhardt, managing director of the group.
The first Ryck 280 will be presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
